Our History
Intercruises was created with the objective of ensuring cruise lines consistently receive high quality ground handling and port agency support, regardless of location
Barcelona origins
Our story began in 2003, with a single cruise line client in the Port of Barcelona
In our first year, there were just four full-time staff handling a total of six calls. By 2004, we had expanded to cover further ports in the Mediterranean, as well as in the UK through the integration of Trina Tours Ltd
Global expansion
Following continued growth in the Mediterranean, in 2007 and 2008 we expanded into other regions
In Asia, the Pacific World Cruise Ground Handling Division was integrated as part of Intercruises, while in North America, we acquired Cruiselink 2, DCNE and DFL, covering the entire eastern seaboard. Intercruises also merged with All4Ships, expanding Intercruises operations into Northern Europe, the Middle East and Africa
Market leader
In 2009, we secured our position as the market leader in the UK and USA, while also opening in Australia
Intercruises acquired Cruise Services USA and Aragon Tours in the UK, as well as Select Tours in Australia
Continued growth
In 2010 and 2011, we continued our strong growth and opened in Scandinavia
We acquired Top Class Services in France and Monaco, as well as expanding to the North American west coast through the acquisition of TMS Gateway. We opened an Intercruises office in Copenhagen, providing services in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In 2010, we won our first ever Seatrade Innovative Shorex Award
To celebrate our 10th year, we hosted a client party at the unique Temple House in Miami. We also helped to organize a 10km run through the Port of Barcelona, which was completed by various members of the Intercruises team
Today
We are the world’s leading cruise specialist ground handler and port agency
We continue to drive best practices and ensure cruise lines consistently receive high quality ground handling and port agency support across all of our destinations
